ABC Gives Full Seasons to 'Revenge,' 'Suburgatory' Orders More 'Happy Endings'

ABC"Revenge" ABC is making its first moves throughout this television season, obtaining the rear nine on two Wednesday evening choices: Revenge and Suburgatory. Additionally, the network has purchased six additional scripts for sophomore comedy Happy Being. Revenge, loosely in line with the Alexandre Dumas book The Count of Monte Cristo, continues to be given a complete 22-episode season. The series, brought by Emily Van Camping and Madeleine Stowe, continues to be holding firm in the 10 p.m. slot, calculating 8.8 million total audiences along with a 2.8 rating among grown ups 18-49 in the first three days. Its newest episode won the hour within the demo, topping veteran CBS procedural CSI along the way. PHOTOS: Fall TV Dying Watch: Which New Shows Is Going To Be Axed? Revenge, produced by Mike Kelley, focuses on Emily Thorne (Van Camping), or Amanda Clarke, who returns towards the Hamptons to consider revenge on those who destroyed her family, including her father's (James Tupper) dying. Gabriel Mann, Henry Czerny, Ashley Madekwe, Josh Bowman, Nick Wechsler, Connor Paolo and Christa B. Allen complete the ensemble cast. The entire order is anticipated for Suburgatory, because the rookie series notched a powerful rankings performance in the debut on Sept. 28, calculating 9.8 million total audiences along with a 3.3 rating among grown ups 18-49, becoming a powerful lead-directly into Modern Family. Produced by Emily Kapnek, the Warner Bros. TV-created series airs at 8:30 p.m. following a Middle. The extra script order for Happy Being may come as the comedy notched an 18 percent increase from the previous week, although the evening saw less competition without any X Factor on Fox. The David Caspe-produced half-hour series has seen a rankings bump within the plum publish-Modern Family slot. This past year, Happy Being adopted a less strong lead-in, Cougar Town -- and saw a number of its episodes broadcast from order. Using the pick-ups of Revenge and Suburgatory, ABC's newcomer series join Whitney, Up Through The Night, 2 Broke Women, New Girl, Ringer, Hart of Dixie and also the Secret Circle in receiving full seasons. The network comes out its ambitious fairytale drama Not so long ago later this month and new comedy Guy Up! on Tuesday. This news mark ABC chief Paul Lee's first moves so far this year.
